Creative Influence is a publication from Rankin, marketing consultancy Oystercatchers, and influencer marketer The Fifth, celebrating trail-blazers in modern marketing, answering the question: what is creativity?

Creative Influence examines the power of creativity and its critical role in business. Conceived in 2018 as a photography exhibition with Rankin to celebrate game-changer creative marketers, the exhibition was unveiled at the 2018 Festival of Marketing. Appetite within the brand community to broaden content and insights led to the creation of this stand-alone book.

Explains Suki Thompson, Chair & Co-founder of marketing consultancy Oystercatchers [part of Xeim Group], “In a world dominated by data discussion, creativity is the true power force behind commercial growth. There are creative brands which have created big ideas that capture our hearts and minds and persuade us to purchase. Behind every great campaign there is a great marketer passionate about creative. Our book invites some of today’s most brilliant marketers to share their personal insights into what creativity looks like and how this philosophy drives them to create beautiful ideas that accelerate growth.”

In this innovative joint venture, Rankin and Oystercatchers invited over forty marketing chiefs behind some of the UK’s best loved brands to a shoot Rankin’s London studio and to share their personal thoughts on creativity. Included are: Kerris Bright, Chief Customer Officer, BBC; Syl Saller, Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, Diageo; John Rudaizky, Partner, Global Brand & Marketing Leader, EY; Ellie Norman, Director of Marketing & Communication F1; David Wheldon, CMO, RBS.
