Commissioned by Tourism Australia in 2005, Rankin was asked to shoot a series of photographs that showed the country in a provocative new light for British audiences.
Refraining from taking predictable postcard frames, Rankin shot everyday Australia. From landscape shots including the corner shop captured in the ghostly early morning and a rather jolly-looking surf team.
