To celebrate Valentine’s Day in 2022, Rankin created an anti non fungible token (NNFT). Rankin’s concept was to ensure people could download his digital art piece, for free and use how they please - a complete contrast to NFT’s.
Explaining his concept on instagram, Rankin said:
’To all of you lovers out there, we salute you. But this one is for the ‘others’. In fact, if you are broken hearted and card, present, flower or kissed less today, then this post is for you. For this Valentines Day, here at RANKIN, we have created a little gift - I guess you could call it a NNFT. A non-non fungible token. You can even regift it to someone that has broken your heart in the past or a friend you want to make laugh.’
